Discussion:
Little change in the forecast thinking from this morning. It will remain chilly through Saturday. Dry weather is expected tonight into Wednesday, but cloud cover will be variable. Lows could reach the 10s tonight if the clouds are thin enough. A low pressure system approaching from the Northern Plains will likely spread snow into the region Wednesday afternoon and evening (mixed with rain in the southern half of the state). Snow accumulations of 2-4 will be possible in the north with an inch or less in central Wisconsin. Dry weather expected Thursday into Friday. Then more mixed precipitation is possible late Friday night and Saturday. It will turn warmer heading into Sunday with some light rain showers possible. Forecast confidence is moderately high the next few days.
